Perigord Group Golf Event January 22- January 23 Maynooth, Ireland

Tetra Pak Golf Event
March 10, 2011
Location: Fullerton, California
Circle Systems Golf was in Orange County, CA for a 1 day golf school.
The California school was structured differently than most CSG golf schools. The participants of the event were longtime students of the CSG method and required less demonstration and more personalized, detailed instruction.
Major topic of discussion included:
-3 dimensional approach of the right shoulder
-side tilts
-accumulator release procedures
-emphasized pivot braking in longer clubs
A lot of the material that we discussed can be seen in March's video lesson "Your Perfect Swing".

Circle
Systems Golf was in Dublin, Ireland for a 2 day event. The proceedings
were held at beautiful Carton House golf course. The participants
started with a class room "debriefing" of the major concepts to be
presented in the subsequent hours. As is common practice in all CSG
schools, classroom time is an integral part of the learning experience.
Pictures, video, and lecture points more richly illustrate the
simplicity of CSG's methodology.
After the morning discussions, students quickly dove into executing CSG's fundamentals:
1. low point consistency (flying wedge setup and impact alignment)
2. control of the body's centers
3. pivot dynamics
Extensive time on the range assisted, by video analysis was how participants spent the rest of their Saturday.
Sunday
was all about 50 yards and in, and taking new patterns to the golf
course. The short game session served to teach students the importance
of a "baseline" chip/ pitch motion. Once a player has developed a
baseline shot, simple setup variances are the only additional principles
to learn in order to achieve desired trajectory and spin
characteristics.
The group spent the rest of the day on Carton
House's O' Meara golf course. The on course portion of a CSG event is
always an eye opening experience. The Dublin school was no different, as
members of the group hit an array of career best shots.

Womens Clinic
September 14-September 29 2010
Location: Deerpath Golf Course, Lake Forest, IL
The womens clinics was structured for (6) 1.5 hour sessions. The clinic's main objective was to teach students repeatable impact alignments and to create an awareness of the pivot's role in creating power. Natural swing tendencies, pre-existing skill level, and physical limitations made the instruction highly individualized. Each student focused on exactly what she needed in an bid for accelerated improvement. Improvement came quickly; and the group setting proved to be the perfect environment for all involved.

Location: The Glen Club, Glenview, Illinois
The event at the Glen Club was a full day affair. Participants during the event underwent structural and procedural changes to their golf swings. Major themes of the day included: participation of the right arm in the backswing and the relationship of the left arm/ clubface as they pertain to a swing's rhythm. As is the standard during CSG schools, students understanding of their individual motion was illuminated with slow motion video analysis. Subsequent drills and demonstrations catered to various learning styles.
Afternoon events included an 18 hole playing lesson. On course training is an integral part of CSG's philosophy. The playing portion of a CSG golf school teaches students to make the difficult transition from more "mechanically minded" swings to "target minded" swings while still maintaining newly created components. The on course training also explores the multitude of things responsible for consistent scoring: development of routine, course management, and situational adaptations (to name a few).

Tetra Pak Event
August 20th, 2010
Location: Whistling Straits Golf Course, Kohler, Wisconsin

Junior Golf Camps
June 14th- July 2nd, July 26th- August 13th, 2010
Location: Deerpath Golf Course, Lake Forest, Illinois
CSG's summer home played host for 4 junior golf camps. The junior camps were comprehensive programs designed to improve all elements of the game. A major emphasis was placed on created short game consistency. The long sessions around the short game area proved valuable in creating consistent impact alignements; a tenet of good ball strinking. The use of drills and games created a situational awareness and improved students response to competitive situations.
Full swing improvement was created withthe use of drills, training aids, and slow motion video analysis. The driving range became a place for students to intergrate pivot dynamics with educated "impact hands". Extensive drilling with the "speed chain" helped develop repeatable pivot lag.
Another major emphasis of the camp was on putting. Major themes included: repeating alignment and posture, the use of the big muscles to create pendulum-type action, and most importantly face angle at impact. The importance of developing a consistent routine was another highly stressed imperative to efficient putting
Campers graduated with on course training; as mechanical improvements led to improved scoring proficiency.

March 9, 2010
Location: Coyote Hills Golf Course, Fullerton, CA
The 1 day event was Tetra Pak’s second golf school. The morning session included a demonstration of CSG’s philosophy. An assortment of drills helped everyone integrate the concepts into their own swings. The morning range session concluded with every participant receiving individual instruction. The group spent the rest of the morning working on CSG’s putting model. Again, drills and visual aids assisted in individual application of key concepts. The putting segment of the morning session proved to be very beneficial to all.
The afternoon was spent on the beautiful Coyote Hills layout. On course training is a major part of CSG schools; and the day’s group was successful in bringing "range swings" to the course. The golf course was a great layout, and the group experienced some new shot patterns! The group expressed its confidence in applying CSG concepts on the golf course after completing their second CSG golf school.

February 18-21, 2010
Location: Troon North Golf Course/ Boulders Golf Course, Scottsdale, AZ
The Haeger group took part in a four day school hosted by two of the best golf courses in the valley. The event was a major success as each participant dramatically improved in all facets of their game.
A brief overview of the school’s events:
•Day 1 (Troon North): The first day introduced the major CSG concepts. The group began its work on drills associated with themes that would be prevalent throughout the school. Day 1 also featured an introduction of short game techniques and a playing lesson on the Monument course.
•Day 2 (Boulders): A full day of events included more in depth demonstrations and drilling. Day 2 was full of individual breakthroughs as everyone in the school became more confident with CSG concepts. The mysterious nature of the sticks" was revealed as the swing plane took was the main focus for much of the day’s range time. The day ended with a playing lesson which focused on course management and the importance of a repeatable routine.
•Day 3 (Boulders): Day three featured more use of the video camera to further enhance individual application of CSG concepts. Each student knew their own assignment, and was able to quickly access their shot pattern. A major part of CSG schools is giving each student a "baseline" drill; allowing them to quickly return to their most fundamental objectives. Day three showed the importance of these drills and its affect on scoring proficiency.
•Day 4 (Troon North): A graduation of sorts; the last day gave everyone a chance to put together the information that had been presented throughout the week. Final DVD’s were created and presented for later reference to sustain the week’s immediate improvement.

January 16, 2010
Location: Troon North Golf Course, Scottsdale, AZ
The Tetra Pak group began their 1 day program with the use of training aids especially designed for this event. The training aids helped introduce CSG’s concepts and created a fun environment for the large group. After a short Q and A session, each individual received a 15 minute lesson and accompanying DVD. After an ample amount of range time the group received a playing lesson as well. The playing lesson provided each member of the group strategies to help apply the new concepts to the golf course. The Tetra Pak golf school was a day in which a plethora of information was presented and a lot of fun was had.
